Fair Property Assessments.

Real Transparency.

LESS Taxes.

I’m Robert Theriot

I’m running for Lafourche Parish Assessor to bring fairness, accountability, and respect back to the Assessor’s Office.

A lifetime of hard work, real-world experience, and a commitment to doing what’s right for Lafourche Parish.

Fair & Consistent Property Values

Your property should be assessed accurately and fairly, no exceptions.

Transparency You Can See

You deserve to understand exactly how your property value is calculated.

Responsive, Respectful Office

When you have questions, you should be treated with professionalism and respect.

Why I’m Running

I decided to run after personally experiencing how broken the system is.

When I questioned the value of my property and my homestead exemption, I was met with resistance instead of answers. Despite overwhelming evidence, I was forced to take the matter all the way to court, and I won.

That experience made one thing clear:

The Assessor’s Office should serve the people, not fight them.

Real Experience Navigating the System

Robert doesn’t just understand property assessments from the outside, he’s personally experienced the challenges residents face when trying to get answers and fair treatment.

After successfully navigating the legal process surrounding his own property assessment and homestead exemption, Robert saw firsthand where the system falls short and where meaningful improvements are needed.

That experience strengthened his commitment to:

  • Fair and consistent assessments

  • Greater transparency

  • Better communication with residents

  • A more accountable Assessor’s Office
